Karydhia Cottage, a beautiful stone-built residence, is 150 years old, situated in the village of Pano Arodes, Paphos. It was last renovated in 1990. Three bedroom villa Sleeps 6 private swimming pool The village of Arodes lies about 23 kms northeast of the town of Paphos, at an altitude of 590 m above sea level. The sea is only 7 kms away, and the village itself is close to the Akamas peninsula, an area protected by Greenpeace. Several traditional stone-built houses are preserved, some dating back to the last century, while the village has a population of only 70 people. Arodhes is mainly a wine-growing village with some cultivated almond, carob and olive trees. The cottage boasts an impressive, large courtyard with pool which is full of trees, including a massive walnut tree and pomegranate tree. There are more trees in the back garden which has olive trees, citrus fruit trees and other fruit. The house consists of 3 bedrooms, a large living-room combined with a kitchen, fully furnished and equipped, with an extraordinary large fireplace. Karydhia Cottage is cosy and warm in winter, cool and fresh in summer. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity lying around the swimming pool or under the walnut and pomegranate trees in the delightful courtyard. The house is ideally located for those who wish to explore the Paphos region, the unspoiled Akamas peninsula and the nature trails. This is the area where the caretta caretta turtles lay their eggs, a species carefully protected by Greenpeace. Visitors can discover the Avakas gorge, cycle, hike, or swim on the nearby beaches which are only 10 km away (15 minute drive). Enjoy Karydhia Cottage and its beautiful surroundings!

Drosia village is 5 kilometres away
Local Attractions:
The house consists of 3 bedrooms, Two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom contains a shower. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms. The thick stone walls make air conditioning unnecessary. There is central heating in the winter. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas oven, bbq, kettle, toaster, fridge and washing machine. The large living room features a large fireplace. There is a television in the living room but if you don't watch TV you can focus on the stone walls and the many real local antiques and artefacts which are decorating them. The villa has a private swimming pool set in a lovely and fruitful garden with many trees and shrubs and a garden table with 6 chairs for eating al fresco. Getting There:
Paphos airport 30km – about 35 minutes drive Larnaca airport 150 km – about 2 ½ hours drive Limassol port 80 km Directions from Paphos airport: Drive out of the airport and take the signs towards Polis. Drive through Stroumbi Village and after the village you will see a sign for Arodes/Kathikas/Droushia on your right. Take the left turning and go straight passing Kathikas village and then take the next turning right where the sign says Polis. About 4km along this road you will see a left hand turning for Arodes. Go straight into the village and you will come to a cross roads. Go straight across and you will come to a fork in the road. Take the left hand fork, you will see the cottage on the right on the corner. There is a sign with Karydhia cottage written on it. Open the gate and drive in. The key will be on the door ready for your arrival. Directions from Larnaca airport: On leaving the airport you need to take the motorway to Limassol then drive towards Paphos. On reaching the Paphos roundabout take the road marked B7 which goes towards Polis. Drive past the villages of Mesogi and Tsada. When you reach the village of Stroumbi, drive through it. When you reach the end of the village you will see the Dionysos Tavern, turn left until youl reach the village of Kathikas. Proceed to the end of the road. Turn right then drive for about 4km, on the left you will see the village of Arodes. Turn left and drive for about 400 meters, you should see the co-op bank bear to the right, next to the co-op bank and about 50 meters to your right you will see the cottage on the right on the corner. There is a sign with Karydhia cottage written on it. Open the gate and drive in. The key will be on the door ready for your arrival.
